How Long Does A House Removal Take?
Here at Longpods Removals & Storage in Nottingham, one of the most common questions we receive is “how long will my house removal take?”. Although there’s no steadfast answer we can give to every customer (as the size of each house and the number of belongings to be moved can significantly vary from one to the other) we can provide a rough estimate which is primarily based on the type of property in question.
Each of these estimates given below are done so with the understanding that all properties have been de-cluttered, cleaned and with all belongings wrapped and packed into boxes (where applicable).
All time estimates given are calculated on the assumption that no pre-packing service is required by us and that larger furniture items (such as beds, wardrobes and cabinets) are dissembled prior to the move and will be assembled upon arrival at the new property.
Moving A Single Bedroom Property
- The average time needed to complete a house move from a single bedroom property (such as a 1 bedroom flat, student property or house share) is approximately 3-4 hours.
Moving A 2-Bedroom Property
- In most instances, moving from a 2-bedroom property takes approximately 6-7 hours. This includes the loading and unloading of furniture and belongings at the new premises.
Moving A 3-Bedroom Property
- The average time required to complete the removal of a standard 3-bedroom property is roughly 8-9 hours. This time is a fair estimate for a removal team consisting of 3-4 experienced movers, transporting the equivalent of around 35 boxes in addition to 3 beds, 3 wardrobes and 3 chests of drawers.
