Our Tips For Office Removals In Nottingham

Moving office equipment can be stressful in any environment but it doesn’t have to be. Below, we’ve listed some of our best tips to making your transition between offices as smooth as possible.

Plan ahead

Nobody likes to feel rushed, and if you do it’s likely that things can go wrong so effective planning is essential when moving. Even little things like, have you made sure on your moving day that the service elevator or entrance is easily accessible? Create yourself a plan and allocate the workload to staff and set targets to achieve by a particular date.

Prioritise your packing

Got some important documents that you need to keep but won’t need until you’ve moved? Get packing them first and order your packing based on how frequently you use the item or piece of equipment. You can’t continue working until your move date if you’ve packed all your computers the moment you knew you were moving!

Avoiding injury

Safety should always come first when lifting or moving objects. Before any changes take place in your office, it’s important to train your staff and give demonstrations on how to do this correctly. Make sure any safety equipment such as safety glasses and hard hats are available if needed.

Organising the clutter

Make sure as you’re boxing that the boxes won’t be in the way for everyone else, allocate sections of your work environment for electronics, stationery and don’t forget – rubbish. The last thing you want to be doing is loading rubbish bags into a removal van. As always, make sure you put your heaviest boxes on the bottom.
